Privacy Policy for ReinTrace
Introduction
LifeVen LLC ("LifeVen," "we," "us," or "our") operates the ReinTrace mobile application. ReinTrace is a personal riding journal for lesson notes, ride media, horses, instructors, skills, tags, and reference links.
Data Collection by LifeVen
Under the current first release design, ReinTrace does not require an account, cloud sync, developer-operated analytics, advertising SDKs, or a LifeVen server that receives your riding records.
Your note text, horse names, instructor names, custom tags, location text, photos, thumbnails, skill status, and media references are stored on your device. LifeVen does not collect, view, sell, rent, or share those records through the app.
Photos, Videos, and Local Media
ReinTrace may request access to photos and videos you choose to attach to a riding note. Photos selected for notes are copied into app-managed storage on your device.
Videos are handled differently: ReinTrace stores a local reference and thumbnail for videos selected from Apple Photos. ReinTrace organizes those referenced videos but does not copy or back up the full video file. If the original video is deleted from Apple Photos or becomes unavailable, playback may stop working until the original is available again or you relink the video.
External Links and YouTube
Users may choose to attach external URLs, including YouTube links, to their notes. ReinTrace does not host or control third-party content referenced by these links.
When you open an external link or a YouTube embed, your device may contact the relevant third-party service directly. Those services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, cookies, analytics, and data practices.
Analytics and Crash Reports
ReinTrace does not currently use third-party in-app analytics or advertising tracking. Apple may provide LifeVen with crash or diagnostic information if you have enabled sharing diagnostics with app developers through your Apple settings. We use any such information only to improve app reliability.
Data Deletion
Because ReinTrace stores its records locally under the current app design, deleting records inside the app or uninstalling the app removes local app data from your device. Standard device backups may retain prior app data according to your device and Apple account settings.
Future Changes
If ReinTrace later adds optional cloud sync, accounts, LifeVen-operated analytics, crash reporting, payments, or other features that change how data is handled, we will update this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy information before those changes are released.
